TOKYO - North Korea launched what may be a ballistic missile on Thursday, Japan's Defense Ministry said.
The projectile is believed to have fallen outside Japan's exclusive economic zone, according to a ministry official.
South Korea also confirmed that the North had launched a projectile eastward.
Earlier this month, North Korea fired a ballistic missile eastward on Aug. 6 and again six days later.
