ROME - FS Italiane Group said Friday its Trenitalia railway operating unit will launch high-speed rail services between Paris and London in 2029 and has ordered trains from a Hitachi Ltd. subsidiary with a plan to invest 2 billion euro ($2.3 billion).
Hitachi Rail Ltd. will deliver 19 high-speed trains as the Italian railway group aims to expand its operations in France.
