MANILA - U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio held talks with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi in Manila on Wednesday to lay the groundwork for what he said should be "a very positive visit" to Washington by Chinese President Xi Jinping in September.
President Donald Trump, who agreed with Xi in Beijing in May to stabilize bilateral relations, has invited the Chinese president to visit the White House on Sept. 24.
