FEATURE: Japanese-Vietnamese couple revitalizes village with lychees

HAIPHONG, Vietnam - Far from her native Hyogo Prefecture in western Japan, a Japanese woman is helping revitalize a rural community in Vietnam through an unlikely business: exporting lychee juice.

Ari Yamasaki and her husband, Pham Van Nhan, are busy turning lychees, a taste of early summer in northern Vietnam, into juice for export to Japan.
