TOKYO - Yamada Holdings Co., Japan's largest consumer electronics retailer, and Edion Corp., another key player in the sector, are planning a business integration, a source familiar with the matter said Thursday.
Under the envisioned merger, their combined sales would reach around 2.5 trillion yen ($15.63 billion). They are considering setting up a holding company and putting the two retailers under its wing, the source said.
