PARIS - Finance ministers and central bankers from the Group of Seven industrialized nations agreed on steps to bolster supply chains for critical minerals amid concerns about overreliance on China for the resources essential for high-tech industries, their joint communique showed Tuesday.
They also affirmed efforts to look into risks posed by artificial intelligence and come up with countermeasures, as scrutiny grows over U.S. company Anthropic's Claude Mythos model that experts say could be exploited to attack financial institutions and other organizations.
