Football: Maeda nets late to help Celtic retain Scottish league title

GLASGOW, Scotland - Japan forward Daizen Maeda struck a decisive late goal as Celtic came from behind to clinch the Scottish Premiership title on the final day of the season with a 3-1 victory over Hearts on Saturday.

Trailing Hearts by a point ahead of their last fixture of the campaign, Celtic needed a win to retain the title. The game was headed for a 1-1 draw before Maeda steered home a low cross from the left in the 87th minute at Celtic Park.
