WASHINGTON - The ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon will be extended by three weeks, U.S. President Donald Trump said Thursday, shortly after he hosted talks between the two countries' ambassadors at the White House.
The current 10-day ceasefire took effect last Friday local time amid Trump's efforts to end the war with Iran, which the United States and Israel launched on Feb. 28. The terms agreed by Israel and Lebanon for extending the truce remained unclear.
