LONDON - Japan attacker Yuito Suzuki bagged a brace as Freiburg won 3-1 away to Celta in their Europa League quarterfinal second leg on Thursday, helping them to advance 6-1 on aggregate.

Suzuki doubled the German visitors' lead on the day in the 39th minute at Estadio Balaidos when his first-time shot off a Jan-Niklas Beste cutback took a slight deflection and went in off the far right post.

The former Brondby man side-footed home their third in the 50th minute off captain Vincenzo Grifo's layoff after Johan Manzambi found his way into the box from the right.

Freiburg, who had led through Igor Matanovic's well-hit 20-meter volley in the 33rd minute, conceded in the dying minute as Williot Swedberg slid home for the Spanish hosts but comfortably set up a semifinal against Braga of Portugal.

In the Europa Conference League, Daichi Kamada played the full 90 minutes as Crystal Palace lost 2-1 away to Fiorentina in their quarterfinal second leg but went through 4-2 on aggregate.

Kaishu Sano and Sota Kawasaki exited the tournament after Mainz lost 4-0 away to Strasbourg and 4-2 on aggregate. AZ Alkmaar, featuring Seiya Maikuma and Rion Ichihara, also went out after a 2-2 home draw with Shakhtar Donetsk, losing 5-2 on aggregate.
