TOKYO - Japanese Olympic silver medalist Yuma Kagiyama said Monday that he would take a break from competitive figure skating for the 2026-2027 season to engage in a time of self-reflection.
"I want to use this time to rediscover what makes figure skating so special, take on new challenges, and reflect on myself as I look toward the future," the 22-year-old said on his official Instagram account.
