YOKOHAMA - A scaffolding collapse at a demolition site near Tokyo has left three men dead among the multiple workers reported in an emergency call to have fallen from the roughly 40-meter-tall structure, local authorities said Wednesday.
In the Tuesday incident, five male workers, aged in their teens to 40s, are believed to have fallen from the scaffolding and a part of a crane being taken apart at a site within JFE Steel Corp.'s East Japan Works steelmaking complex in Kawasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture.
