OSAKA - Yokozuna Onosato fell to his second straight loss after two days at the Spring Grand Sumo Tournament on Monday as Ukrainian ozeki Aonishiki also suffered a blow to his bid for promotion to yokozuna, the highest rank.
Onosato (0-2) continued his worrying start to the 15-day meet at Edion Arena Osaka after failing to rattle new komusubi Atamifuji (1-1), who was beaten by Aonishiki in the championship playoff at the New Year meet.
