TOKYO - Japan's ruling camp, led by Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi's Liberal Democratic Party, is on course to secure a majority in the House of Representatives in the Feb. 8 general election, a Kyodo News survey showed Wednesday.
The newly formed main opposition Centrist Reform Alliance is struggling to increase its seats, while some emerging parties, including the populist Sanseito party, known for its "Japanese First" slogan, appear poised to gain ground, according to the poll.
