TOKYO - Japanese manga artist Kazuo Umezu, known for horror pieces like "Hyoryu Kyoshitsu" (The Drifting Classroom) and his signature red-and-white-striped shirt, has died in Tokyo, publisher Shogakukan Inc. said Tuesday. He was 88.
